Kananaskis Country Rescue Team

The two 43-minute videos -below- have been shot Kananaskis Country by a German team (for Arte TV, a bilingual French/German cultural TV network) in September of 2009. This movie has been scheduled for the European market and aired in February of 2010. It's been voiced over in French and German...We're trying to get a hand on the English-only version. If not, we'll post the English text.
We're showing you here the two full versions; in French and below the German one.

The 2009 Experience The Mountain Parks Photos/Videos Announced

On behalf of all of our contest sponsors, we are very pleased to announce that Rui Shan, of Edmonton, Alberta submitted the winning entry to our Reader Photo Contest!

We'd like to thank all of our readers who submitted photo entries this year. Honourable mention goes to Barry Philippson of Ottawa, Ontario for his "Zen Moment at Lake O'Hara" - the image that we have selected as the new cover shot for our 2010 edition of Experience the Mountain Parks. (see below)

Other finalists include Amanda Polson of Penticton, BC for her entry entitled "The Stunning Vast Expanse of the Illecillewaet Glacier", (see below)

and Roald van Heerde of The Netherlands for the entry captioned "Golden-Mantled Ground Squirrel Entertaining the Tourists". (see below)
