Jasper Motorcycle Run

Riders, start your engines!

This August 25, the fourth annual Jasper Motorcycle Run will give motorcyclists license to ride and prizes to pursue amid iconic Rocky Mountain scenery. And, as a bonus this year, riders who register before June 30 will get an extra playing card to add to their poker hand, boosting their odds of winning great prizes.


This year’s prizes include a return trip from Jasper to Vancouver with VIA Rail, and a two night bed and breakfast stay for two at The Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Registration for the run is $50 per hand, with proceeds going to support the Spinal Cord Injury Treatment Centre Society. 

The format for the event involves riders collecting playing cards at checkpoint stations – located in attractive spots like the Icefields Parkway, Marmot Basin Road and Maligne Valley – with the objective of building a winning poker hand. 

“The Rockies is one of the most world’s stunning drives,” says Maggie Davison, CEO of Tourism Jasper. “Touring the Rockies by bike is a unique way to explore the area and motorcycle tourism is becoming more popular. The Jasper Motorcycle Run offers people a chance to meet other riders in the area while experiencing the mountains.” 

Last year’s ride drew approximately 120 bikes. Organizers are hoping to see 200 bikes come out for this year’s event. Bowen Dolhan, owner of Jasper Motorcycle Tours and a long-time rider himself, adds “It’s pretty exciting to have that many bikes together.”
